Midnight Sun Mercantile is Richard, Aimee, and Liliana, working a boreal homestead bordering the Little Susitna River in rural Alaska. Everything we make goes through our real hands.
How we got here.
In 2021 we bought raw land in rural Alaska and started building a homestead. We are still at it.
Why a mercantile.
Every product we make starts with knowing the land: which plants to use, when to harvest them for the fullest benefit, and what each one brings to the finished batch. These are formulations we have relied on in our own household for decades, and we are glad to share them with yours.
Friends and family kept coming back for more. When they started asking us to put the products — and what we know about them — in reach of people beyond our kitchen table, we opened the mercantile. That is still the idea.

What we stand behind.
- We hand-gather wild-crafted botanicals for our ingredients.
- We don't use preservatives we can't pronounce. Vitamin E and beeswax are the full shelf-life toolkit on most of what we make.
